Sous Chef Chainlocker - Falmouth
Our passionate team at Chainlocker at Falmouth are looking for a dedicated Sous Chef to help run their kitchen.
Falmouth's leading waterfront pub the Chain Locker is undergoing a major upgrading and we intend to reopen this outstanding Historic Listed Inn in early August 2017 following an extensive nine month sensitive yet spectacular restoration. Our aim will be to offer the highest standards of service, food & drink with modern comfortable bedrooms. We are looking for staff who will share our passion, be enthusiastic, work in a team and have fun.
What it's like to be a Sous Chef:
Joining us as a Sous Chef you'll be supported and encouraged to take on new responsibilities and grow your skills as you develop your career. We want you to build your expertise, career and confidence with us.
Working closely with the Head Chef to run our busy kitchen, you'll:
- Step in to run the kitchen when the Head Chef isn't around
- Get involved in all elements of operational and commercial management for the kitchen
- Form part of the hands-on team, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the team to create fabulous food
- Be an excellent and inspiring role model within the team providing them with support and development

You're proud of what you've achieved with your solid track record as a Chef working for a high-volume kitchen in a food-lead venue, but you're hungry to achieve more. You have a natural flair for communication, thrive under pressure and get a real buzz from being part of a dedicated team. Your experience will have seen you:
- Build passion and enthusiasm for creating fantastic locally-sourced, seasonal food that wows your guests
- Develop brilliant teamworking and supervisory skills
- Use your excellent organisation skills
- Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate and ideally have gained NVQ Level 2
