Multiskilled Engineer

Location: St Austell Brewery, St Austell (Cornwall)

Salary: £33,000-£35,000

If you fancy a new challenge, then this could be the job for you! An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced multiskilled Engineer at our St Austell Brewery site in Cornwall. The position will be 40 hours per week on a shift basis.

What it's like to be an multiskilled Engineer within the brewery:

We are passionate about our beer and brands and this passion is in all our departments including the engineering team. We have a traditional Brewery dating back to 1893 where we brew our award-winning beers such as Tribute, Proper Job, Korev, and Mena Dhu as well as package them into bottle, cask or keg. We have a high-speed bottling line which includes a PSL labeller, volumetric filling machine, automated case packer as well as an industry leading kegging line and cask filling line that can fill 2,500 casks per day. It is also home to our Small Batch Pilot Brewery where we conduct innovation, recipe creation, people development & seasonal beers. Daily tasks would normally include planned and reactive maintenance, project work and plant improvement schemes as well as maintaining all the services required for the brewing processes such as steam, nitrogen, compressed air, CO2 and water.

Specific experience in the Brewing Beverage or Food Processing industry is desired but not essential.

About You

It's a given that you will have experience Multiskilled engineering, but it is also important that you also have:

  • Data and analytical skills
  • Good time management
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Been time served as an electrical/mechanical/engineering apprentice
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • A confident and positive attitude
