Tell us who you are and what you do at the brewery?
My name is Hannah Riches and I am the HR Business Partner for Head Office, Production & Distribution. In my role, I support the employment life cycle for our employees from beginning to end.
How did you get your job?
In 2004, I was employed at the Victoria Inn & Lodge as a Front of House team member. Throughout my time there I worked in all the departments, from Kitchen to Housekeeping and eventually ended up as Head Receptionist, when in 2010 the lodge was leased to another company – St Austell Brewery. Having spent only 3 months with them, I contacted St Austell Brewery asking for a job and thankfully they said YES!
Over my 7 years of working as a Training & HR Administration Assistant at the Brewery, I have climbed the career ladder and achieved my current position within the company – HR Business Partner.
What do you love about your job?
The people are the best bit of my job and supporting them in every way I can gives me a great sense of achievement. Variety is the spice of life and this rings true within my role – no day is ever the same!

The company has a strong teamwork approach where we work together to help the company expand and succeed. Everyone from the top down is extremely friendly, approachable and willing to help at any point. I am looking forward to what the future holds for St Austell Brewery… good times ahead!
