How do I apply for a role at St Austell Brewery?

We advertise all of our vacancies on this website. If you would like to apply, simply click on the job that you are interested in and complete the short application form.

I am under 18 years of age – am I able to apply for a job at St Austell Brewery?

Most of our roles are suitable for over 18s, however there are certain jobs that we can employ sixteen and seventeen year olds for. To find out whether you are suitable for a particular role, please see the individual job specification. If you cannot apply for the role you are interested in due to your age, we also run an award-winning apprenticeship programme, chef scholarship schemes and training courses.

Are there any upper age restrictions for your roles?

We welcome applications from all ages and are particularly interested to hear from more mature candidates who are looking for full or part time work.

I am a citizen from outside of the EU. Can I still apply for a role?

As a general rule you will need to have the right to work in the UK to be considered for any of our roles. Please contact our People team with any specific questions regarding eligibility.

Will the Company consider an application from me if I have a disability?

We welcome applicants with disabilities and will offer whatever support is possible both during the recruitment process and in the course of work. If you wish to speak confidentially to one of our team before applying for a role, please pick up the phone or email us.

Do I need experience to apply for a position?

While experience is preferred, full training will be offered and we are happy to hear from applicants at all levels. Anyone can apply for our staff vacancies and we will review all applications.

I am interested in applying for job in a pub that hasn’t opened yet.

We usually start recruiting for a new pub six to eight weeks before its opening date. All vacancies will be advertised on this website.

I have applied for a job online but haven’t received a response.

All applications are processed in house at St Austell Brewery and we will get in touch about whether you have been shortlisted as soon as possible. If you have not heard from us for more than a week after the position has closed, please contact our People team and we can let you know the status of your application.

Do you offer a work experience scheme?

We are pleased to offer a work experience scheme across the company. Please get in touch with our people team to discuss a placement.

What are the working hours?

Our managed pub, distribution and brewing teams work on a rota basis, so it is best to contact our people team to discuss working hours before applying. Most Head Office roles will require you to work from 9am until 5pm between Monday and Friday, however please see the individual job specification for further information.

Does the Company offer flexible working hours to accommodate domestic commitments?

St Austell Brewery is a family friendly employer and will always try to accommodate individual requests for flexible hours where possible. Please feel free to contact one of the People team to find out more in respect to a particular role.
